• This birth preparation illustration is a downloadable PDF file that you can print on paper, or keep as a reminder on your cell phone.
The "Pelvic Floor" illustration offers an anatomical view of the pelvis and pelvic floor, focusing on its essential muscles in relation to pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
It primarily includes bony structures (ischium, sacrum, coccyx, etc.) and perineal muscles (superficial and deep).
The pelvic floor plays an important role during pregnancy, adapting and supporting not only the organs but also the baby, whose weight and pressure become increasingly significant!
Postnatally, it is therefore important to give it special attention, after all these exceptional efforts!
This illustration becomes a practical and clear support to help you (or help your clients) visualize this often-misunderstood area.
Why this tool?
Because a better knowledge of the body means a better understanding of the physiological process of pre/per/postnatal, a better understanding of what actually happens in the body during these different stages (and why taking care of your pelvic floor after pregnancy is important!)
Also useful for midwives, doulas and other perinatal professionals to offer visualization and introspection tools to their clients.
