I created these illustrations in collaboration with Julie Bonapace, author of the Bonapace Method.

I wanted to illustrate her method, which is revolutionary in the world of birth. The Bonapace Method is a recognized non-pharmacological pain relief technique, based on the roles that neurophysiology and hormones play during the childbirth process.

Significantly reducing (by almost 50%) the intensity and unpleasantness of pain during all phases of labor, this method, both natural and scientific, is now used worldwide!

I therefore offer you this series of 3 illustrations:
One on painful massages (acupressure points),
One on gentle massages and stimulations,
One on thought control.

In each of them, I summarize the main exercises/stimulations, as well as what happens in the brain when they are used.

To understand and learn the Bonapace Method in greater depth, I recommend the book "Childbirth Without Stress with the Bonapace Method", available in most bookstores.

They are simply visual aids supporting/based on it, summarizing the main exercises and explaining their effect on the brain.

Nor do they replace, for professionals, the Bonapace method training.

Also useful for midwives, doulas and other perinatal professionals to offer visualization and introspection tools to their clients.
